What started it all? Sisters Fialkova refused to sign the contract with slovakian federation, because it's including things, which sisters don't agree.
Also, this year federation had problems with Kuzmina and Zusula (skier), but they managed to agree. Seven other biathletes, including Kuzmina, signed the contract already. But why Paulina and Ivona didn't?
"We agree all part of the contract, we understand and accept responsibilities for sponsors and federation. We present them, then we have performance on races, although we haven't any rewards for it. Ok. But some things we can't accept. Biathlon association knows about it, but we haven't any answers".
So, the Union can't sing sisters, and they disallowed Paulina and Ivona performance for Slovakia.
Other disputes had Anastasia Kuzmina. She paid for some hotels own money, and she had problems with rewards for Olympic medals, but now all ok.
Maybe another country?
Paulina now is 26, Ivona - 23. They are perspective, but now they taking a risk to pass by World Cup.
"No, we don't think about other countries. I'll retire better, but will not change the country!", said Paulina.
Even minister of sports join this battle: "Do we have a lot of talent? We can't afford to scatter them".
Association should announces the members of the team until 14 days before the start. Paulina and Ivona are on the list. But time working against them.
