The biathlon world championship will begin on 12 February 2025. In the current season Lenzerheide is hosting this competition.

it's the most important competition in the year. The majority of biathlete can sacrifice other stages for training to WC. They try hard to have top conditions in this competition.
Biathlon World Championship 2025 has a special quota for majority countries - just 4 sportsmen to any single race, except mass-start (there can more than 4 biathletes from one nat. team). Also, allows any national team take part in relay. But there is a limit - 30 teams.
Teams in the previous year:
1-20 place in Nation Cup - 4 biathletes.
21-25 place - 3 biathletes.
26 - 30 place - 2 biathletes.
Also exist wild cards for nations, that not including to top-30.
Also, the winners of the previous WC have an additional quota. For example, in 2025, Norway will partipicate 5 biathletes in sprint and individual, because in 2024 Laegreid and Boe won this races.
Women's sprint won Julia Simon, so France will have 5 biathletes in sprint, and Italy - 5 in individual (Lisa Vittozzi won in 2024).
There will be all type of races - sprint, pursuit, individual, mass start, relay, and mixed relays.
