The biathlon world championship will begin on 10 February 2021. In current season Pokljuka is hosting this competition.

- 12 Feb 2021 - 15:30 - Sprint 10km, Men
- 13 Feb 2021 - 15:30 - Sprint 7,5km, Women
- 14 Feb 2021 - 14:15 - Pursuit 12,5km, Men
- 14 Feb 2021 - 16:30 - Pursuit 10km, Women
- 16 Feb 2021 - 13:05 - Individual race 20km, Men
- 17 Feb 2021 - 15:30 - Individual race 15km, Women
- 28 Feb 2021 - 16:15 - Single mixed relay
- 20 Feb 2021 - 12:45 - Relay 4x7,5km, Men
- 20 Feb 2021 - 16:00 - Relay 4x6km, Women
- 21 Feb 2021 - 13:30 - Mass start 15km, Men
- 21 Feb 2021 - 16:15 - Mass start 12,5km, Women
it's the most important competition in the year. The majority of biathlete can sacrifice other stages for training to WC. They try hard to have top conditions in this competition.
Biathlon World Championship 2020 has a special quota for majority countries - just 4 sportsmen to any single race, except mass-start (there can more than 4 biathletes from one nat. team). Also, allows any national team take part in relay. But there is a limit - 30 teams.
Teams in the previous year:
1-20 place in Nation Cup - 4 biathletes.
21-25 place - 3 biathletes.
26 - 30 place - 2 biathletes.
Also exist wild cards for nations, that not including to top-30.
There will be all type of races - sprint, pursuit, individual, mass start, relay, and mixed relays.
