Ida Lien wins the sprint at the European Championships

An amazing blockbuster was given to us by the ladies who started in the last numbers and kept the intrigue until the last minutes of the race!

First, Ukrainian Kristina Dmitrenko, starting one of the first, showed an intermediate best result, which lasted for a long time!

Swede Anna Heidenberg also managed to hit all 10 targets, and was only 2 seconds behind in the last lap, but in the end lost 5 to the Ukrainian.

Petrenko, Meyer, Stremous, and Michelon had a 20-second lag at the cutoff after the second shooting, and the best of them was Alina Stremous, however, the Moldovan did not stay in 3rd place.

After all, this is the European Championship, not all the strongest will start in the first numbers. The later numbers were a lot of of Norwegians. First, Emily Kalkengebg, starting #73, almost overtook the Swede Heijenbeng, gaining about 15 seconds from her, and surpassing the result of Stremous.

And towards the end of the race, Jenny Enodd burst into the fight for the podium places. The Norwegian was 12 seconds behind Dmytrenko after the second shooting, but only reduced 6 seconds, and Dmitrenko and Heidenberg survived!

Germany's Marlene Fichtner went into the final lap with Enodd's time, but alas, she was nowhere near the pace and lost a lot.

Finnaly, Ida Lien, who started #107, managed to pass both ranges without mistakes, and her pace is such that anyone would envy, and the Norwegian wins by a large margin!

Next was the Italian Linda Zinglere, after the second range she lost about 10 seconds of a potential podium position, but like Fichtner, she lost too much.

But Maren Kirkade, who also made 10 out of 10, managed to cope quite well. She went into the last lap winning 6 seconds over Dmitrenko. And although she failed to catch up with Ida Lien’s result, she remained in second place.

Anastasia Kuzmina performed well, on par with the top athletes of this championship, but due to three misses she took only 59th place, and most likely she will not take part in the pursuit, because there is still a mixed relay ahead.
