Emilien Jacquelin worked the fastest during the first shooting and went to the second lap with an very good, for this cutoff, advantage - 8 seconds. Behind him were Johannes Dale and Tarjei Boe.
But the Frenchman didn’t give his opponents a chance in the second shooting either, shooting just as lightning fast, and already gaped 15 seconds to the Norwegians Tarjei and Dale, who, after an incredibly fast lap, were joined by Johannes Boe, who had previously visited at the penalty loop. In the same group were Stalder, Bionaz, Soerum, and Zobel.
But on the third lap, Jacquelin began to run out of energy, and this whole group got to him.
Jacquelin didn't change his habit, and again shot faster than anyone else by 5 seconds, but with one miss. Johannes Boe, Bionaz, Stalder, and Zobel accompanied him on the penalty loop. Three Norwegians - Tarjei Boe, Dale and Soerum continued to lead.
Jacqueline's strength had completely left him, and he was overtaken by the entire group, including Martin Ponsiluoma, who got close after a bad start (2 penalties on the 1st prone). Johannes Boe made a dash and caught up with the trio of teammates, and all four Norwegians came together for the final shooting.
Johannes is the only one of this quartet who managed to make 5 out of 5, the rest provided huge chances for the opponents, but no one was able to take advantage of this mistake of the Norwegians, a huge number of pursuers also made mistakes, and the first who managed to make 0 was Vetle Christiansen who came up to 11th shooting position. But he was already too far away for a real fight.
Vebjorn Sorum could have sowed doubts among the Norwegian coaches if he had finished on the podium again, but alas, at the right moment - 2 misses, and he is out of the top 3.
As for the fight for second place, Johannes Dale easily gained 8 seconds from Tarjei and ran ahead. We have a Norwegian podium again, and in total we have 5 Norwegians in the top 6.
