At the first shooting range, almost everyone easily managed with only 5 bullets, and usually on the second lap the peloton bunches up, but not this time. Sturla Lægreid and Eric Perrot took such a pace that only David Zobel could get close to them. And then it was time of Eric Perrot who showed his class at shooting. The Norwegian has not yet started shooting, but the Frenchman has already closed 3 targets, managed two more, and left as the undisputed leader. Laegreid wasn't able to win back those 8 seconds.
David Zobel made things difficult for Germany by going into the penalty loop. The gap between Switzerland, Slovenia, Finland and Sweden in passing the relay was about 28 seconds, Italy, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic were already 38 seconds behind.
At the 3rd shooting, although Jacquelin missed, Tarjei Bo still couldn’t reach him, and at the next shooting, history repeated itself. Pidruchny, due to his fast pace and accuracy, was able to rise to 4th place. But Jakov Fak collapsed, he sent all 8 bullets wide of the target. On the standing, Samuelsson was too busy, which is why he left for the final lap, accompanied by Invenius and Pidruchny, however, they could not keep up with him, and by the end of the lap, Sweden was 30 seconds behind the leader, and Ukraine and Finland 42-44 seconds. During his leg, Johannes Kühn lost only 10 seconds to the leader, and moved Germany to 6th place.
Norwegian team took the lead, it was Tarjei Boe who played back 12 seconds from Jacquelin, and even took the lead, giving Johannes a minimal advantage.
In the prone, Johannes Boe missed the first two shots at the same point, didn't get confused, made an adjustment and closed all the targets. Due to this, Florent Claude came close to him, but could not resist, the Norwegian immediately threw off this “tail”.
I don’t think anyone was particularly surprised when Oscar Brand missed three times on prone, the Swedes simply have a hopeless situation - Nelin is no longer fit, Femling isn't in good condition. Meanwhile, Philipp Nawrath led Germany into third place, but the German went away in a tight group with Pryma, Brandt and Mukkola.

Quentin Fillon Maillet easily coped with his task of maintaining second place. But there could have been a nice fight for third place. Lukasz Hofer caught up with Benedikt Doll and dueled with him at the last shooting stage, but could not cope with the last target, which is why the German left 20 seconds ahead, leaving the Italian with only 4th place.
If in Ostersund the Ukrainian team looked dull, now it’s quite good, final 5th place, compared to what happened a week earlier, this is significant progress.
