Full-fledged competitions began in Sjusjoen today. Almost all the best biathletes from Norway, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Italy are participating in the race.
The sprint was won by Lisa Vittozzi, 3 seconds ahead of Ingrid Tandrevold, and 5 seconds ahead of Marketa Davidova.
Other Italians also performed relatively well. Samuela Komola is 13th and Beatrice Trabucci is 17th. Almost all the Germans were behind even the young Italian, only Janina Hettich could show the 10th result.
Good results were shown by Poles Natalia Sidorovic (6th), and Joanna Jakella (11th).
