Dorothea Wierer wins the individual race in Oestersund, Vittozzi - Small Globe

Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi went through the whole race showing almost the same results in the intermediates after shooting. Incredibly, both Italians were able to shoot all 20 targets, and Vittozzi went into the last lap trailing Wierer by just 6 seconds.

And it seemed that Liza, who is faster, will play these 6 seconds without any problems, and win the individual race. But no! And it's not about Lisa, it's Dorothea Wierer on the last lap showed phenomenal speed, surpassing Vittozzi's result by 20 seconds. At the same distance, Denise Herrmann was slower by 12 seconds, Julia Simon by 7 seconds, Elvira Oeberg by 25 seconds.

Third place was claimed by Ingrid Tandrevold, Karoline Knotten, Denise Herrmann, and Marketa Davidova. But Tandrevold and Davidova earned two penalty minutes on the last standing. Knotten, although she made 20 out of 20, was significantly inferior to her rivals in a move, moreover, she stumbled on the pre-start straight, losing another 15 seconds. As a result, she barely got into the top 10.

And the third place went to Denise Herrmann. The German made only miss in the first prone and has been a catch-up ever since. However, even perfect shooting would not have helped her win.

Fifth place went to Canadian Emma Lander. This is a breakthrough season for her, this is her fifth time in the top 10.

Well, the Small Globe goes to Lisa Vittozzi. Ingrid Tandrevold and Hanna Oberg, who also claimed it, performed clearly worse. Norwegian 7th, and Swedish 23th.
