The IBU advises that in accordance with the rules for entry into Italy, biathletes, coaches, officials, and technicians must be fully vaccinated or have a certificate of recovery and therefore be immune.
Those who have received vaccines recognized by the European Union haven't any problem at the Biathlon World Cup in Italy. For the rest of those vaccinated with non-EU-approved vaccines (Russian Sputnik, for example), participation is allowed, but they will have to be tested every 48 hours.
According to the IBU, 98% of athletes, coaches, officials, and technicians are vaccinated.
