All Norwegians who have already got their places in the Olympics will miss the event in Ruhpolding, except for Marte Roeiseland, who will perform in the second track in Germany, but will miss the Italian Antholz. The Norwegians will go to the mountain in Martell, and Roeiseland a week later in Passo di Lavazza for 10-11 days, which is located at an altitude of 1800 meters.
«It will make the fight for the Crystal Globe a little more difficult, but Olympic gold is more precious for me», says Marte.
The Norwegian is good at getting point-and-shoot for certain races. Two years ago, she won 7 medals (5 of them gold) at the World Championships in Antholz.
Swedish coach Jean-Marc Chabloz has confirmed that the vast majority of his Swedish atheltes will miss the World Cup in Antholz and will instead train in Martell and Seiser Alm.
The Italian event will feature athletes currently competing in the IBU Cup. And the youth will go to the IBU Cup, following the selection results for the Swedish Cup in Limo, which will be held in mid-January.
