Lou Jeanmonnot wins the Annecy pursuit and takes the overall World Cup lead

Lou Jeanmonnot took control of the race immediately after the first shooting and never allowed her rivals to get close. A single miss on the final standing range made no difference, as the Frenchwoman cruised to victory and claimed the yellow bib from Anna Magnusson.

Magnusson paid the price for a disastrous sprint two days earlier. Although she produced a strong comeback today, climbing from 38th to 16th place, it was far from enough to defend her lead in the overall standings.

Hanna Oeberg made an early mistake on the first prone shooting. She initially stayed in second place, but three additional penalty loops on the two standing stages dropped her down to seventh in the final classification.

Suvi Minkkinen, on the other hand, delivered a perfect shooting performance, which allowed her to move up from sixth place to finish second on the podium.

Dorothea Wierer repeated her result from Thursday, once again taking third place. The Italian was under pressure from Julia Simon on the final lap but managed to hold her position and secure another podium finish.
