Elvira Oberg won the mass start at the World Championships, Michelon and Kirkade on the podium

The women's mass start started interestingly. Firstly, the French women stretched out the peloton quite well, picking up the pace already on the first lap, and secondly, only 7 athletes managed to do without a penalty lap. And Lena Haecki and Jeanne Richard took the lead. Preuss fell behind them, but luck smiled on her on the second prone, where she knocked out all the targets, and became the leader.

After the second shooting, Haecki and Richard were 10 seconds behind the German, and Todorova, Clotens and Lie: 15-20 seconds, Belgium go!

But Franziska Preuss is not in shape today, she was quickly caught up by Gross, Richard, and unexpectedly - Todorova, and a little later also by Breza and Lampic, and the Frenchwoman made up 36 seconds per lap! But the leaders' pace dropped so much that they were almost caught by Kirkeide, Oberg, Tandrevold, Michelon, Jeanmonnot and Tomingas.

Preuss, Jeanmonnot, Oeberg and Tomingas shot without misses in the first standing. And Breza was not stopped even by one penalty lap, she quickly joined her pursuers.

Only Elvira Oberg managed to make 5 out of 5 in the final shooting, the rest went to penalty laps, and a tight group of 7 athletes was formed for the final lap: Kirkeide, Michelon, Preuss, Jeanmonnot, Todorova, Richard and Tomingas.

But Kirkeide and Michelon immediately broke away from this crowd, and only the Bulgarian Todorova tried to reach them, but she also failed.
