France wins the men's relay for the fourth time this season

France's total dominance in relays, who would have thought before the start of the season?

The first leg was won by the Norwegians - Sturla Laegreid did his best, although their main rivals, the French, were only 8 seconds behind. Dmitry Pidruchnyi squeezed in between them - the Ukrainians have been putting up a "runaway four" for the second time in a row (strong at the start, weak at the end).

In the second stage, Quentin Fillon Maillet easily caught up with Tarjei Boe, and after the prone, he was already in the lead. And after the standing, when Boe and Mandzyn had problems, the Frenchman broke away by 40 seconds from his closest rival.

The lead was also maintained by the finish of the 2nd leg: Norway +0:38, Italy +0:54, Ukraine +1:01, USA +1:01, Czech Republic +1:04, Germany +1:05.

Eric Perrot continued his team's winning streak, and even Johannes Boe could not reduce the gap by a second, but on the contrary, lost even more.

By the end of the third leg, France was leading with a huge advantage of 1 minute over Norway. Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and Sweden were losing 1:40. Switzerland and the USA - more than two minutes.

But nothing changed in the last three laps. France won the fourth relay in a row.

Ponsiluoma and Samuelsson are no strangers to pulling the team out of the bottom, once again this pair had to compensate for the mistakes of Viktor Brandt. Maybe the Swedes should also try the "runaway" option of the line-up?

The Swedes climbed to third place, and at the end of the lap, there was even a tiny chance that we would see a fight for silver, but alas. Vetle Christiansen, although he lost half a minute to the Swede, still remained second.

Tomasso Giacomel missed a great opportunity to put his team on the podium. Where did the Italian's pace go yesterday? Switzerland and the Czech Republic in the top 6.
