Johannes Boe was the sole leader until the first shooting, where he missed one target.
Emilien Jacquelin, started the race very sharply, in the first half of the distance he reduced the gap to Sturla Laereid by 30 seconds! And this despite the fact that the Norwegian didn't miss. After the third shooting, he also caught up with Johannes Boe, who went to the penalty loop after a miss in the first shooting.
Sturla Laereid took the lead for a short time, but by the end of the lap the Boe-Jacquelin pair caught up with him.
The final shooting, and all three miss, but it does not matter, because Uldal and Samuelsson, who are chasing them, are also not perfect.
In the fight for gold, Sturla Laereid clearly looked superfluous, but he held on until the end.
Johannes tried to overtake Jacquelin on one of the climbs, but failed. A little later, Johannes again caught with Jacquelin, and the Frenchman fell. Judging by the fact that after the finish, Jacquelin just walked away without even shaking the Norwegian's hand, Boe still caught him.
Laegreid even managed to pass the Frenchman, but Emilien snatched second place already at the finish line.
Martin Uldal had a good race, he will definitely not be sent back to the IBU Cup, he is too good. The only thing he lacks is precision.
