Eric Perrot wins the mass start in Kontiolahti and takes the yellow bib

The French are impressive again, but the Norwegians have themselves to blame for their defeat

Already in the first shooting, Johannes Boe, Sebastian Samuelsson and Emilien Jacquelin missed, with the Norwegian and the Swede limiting themselves to one, and Johannes was able to catch up with the leading group over time. But Jacquelin missed twice and, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to return to the fight for medals.

After the second shooting, the leadership was seized by two Norwegians - Christiansen, and Strömsheim, who failed the sprint. Antonin Guigonnat was unable to keep up with them, and the Frenchman was eventually overtaken by a large group of 10 people chasing him.

In the first standing, both Norwegians were inaccurate, and Eric Perrot became the leader. Riethmuller and Laegreid were 5 seconds behind. Christiansen was losing 15 seconds, and the others were already one penalty lap away.

At the final standing, Eric Perrault dealt with the targets, but his opponents did not. The Frenchman ran to the finish line with a comfortable advantage, Sturla Laegreid was in second place, and another Frenchman, Fillon Maillet, was 6 seconds behind.

And here is who impressed the most. Even with three penalty loops, the Frenchman beat all the Norwegians, he also found the strength to catch up with Laegreid and fight with him, pushing him to 3rd place.

In addition, Eric Perrault takes the yellow jersey, just slightly ahead of Johannes Boe and Sturla Laegreid in points.
