Lou Jeanmonnot and Lena Haecki very quickly caught up with Lisa Vittozzi, and the trio came to the first prone together. At the same time, Justine Braisaz reduced the gap by 15 seconds in the first lap!!!
But this haste was costly for the pursuers. Only Vittozzi and Simon completed this shooting without mistakes. The rest are in a loop, and Braisaz, Hettich and Lampic are in two.
On the second lap, Jeanmonnot and Haecki limited themselves to only catching up with Simone, the entire trio was 13 seconds behind the leading Italian.
Italian 5 out of 5, Simon 5 out of 5, and very fast shooting. Jeanmonnot also shot all 5 targets, but was much slower than her rivals, and was already 15 seconds behind Vittozzi. But she didn’t give up and caught up with the leading pair for the next shooting! Meanwhile, Ingrid Tandrevold was gradually getting closer, gaining 8 positions, but only 10 seconds.
At the first standing, Lisa Vittozzi continued to follow her line, and already made 15 miss-free shots. The competitors behind her missed, except for Justine Braisaz, who suddenly moved into 6th place, a minute behind the Italian. Ingrid Tandrevold, due to two misses, dropped to 13th place.
Last shooting, Lisa Vittozzi is not a robot, and also misses. But their rivals don’t take advantage of this gift either: Jeanmonnot has a miss, Simone has two. But Justine makes a stunning comeback! After the second shooting she was in 19th place, 1:13 lag. And she left for the last lap in 3rd place, only 7 seconds behind Lou, and left her no chance.
Julia Simon finished the race in 4th place without a fight. Despite the excellent finishing positions of all three French women, they all lost their chances of winning the Cup.
But Ingrid Tandrevold returned to where she started, she again dropped to 17th position, and by the finish she lost two more, but this is no longer important.
Tomorrow Lisa Vittozzi will wear the yellow bib for the first and last time this season.
