The wind at the shooting range has not died down at all since the women's mass start. Everyone had a chance. But already from the first shooting, many athletes began to fall to the end of the peloton. Johannes Boe earned 3 penalty laps already in the first prone, and subsequently never got out of this hole.
But Tarjei Boe and Benedikt Doll somehow miraculously managed to avoid misses until the final shooting. But this cup did not pass them by - the Norwegian made 3 mistakes, the German – two.
And quite unexpectedly, Sturla Lægreid takes the lead on the last lap, and 4 seconds behind him is Justus Strehlow, who was the only one who was able to make 20 out of 20. Benedikt Doll, meanwhile, managed to pass two penalty loops, and together with Jesper Nelin was only 8 seconds behind the Norwegian.
Justus Strelow surrendered immediately, but the Swede Nelin rushed with an unusual speed for him, leaving the more titled Doll far behind.
But the fight side by side did not work out, Sturla did not let Nelin come to him, and besides, the Swede ran out of strength, and Doll caught up with him again, although at some point the German was 7 seconds behind, and passed him without any problems.
Johannes Boe is 14th and looks to be his worst performance this season.
