Johannes Boe didn't sit back, he immediately began to dictate his pace, however, due to mistakes in the first leg (1+1), he was never able to realize his potential. And the first stage of the relay was won by Quentin Fillon Maillet, Boe was 4 seconds behind, and Hartweg, Wright and Eder were another 6 seconds behind.
Lou Jeanmonnot continued to increase their success. The Frenchwoman didn't use extra bullets, and increased her lead to 14 seconds over Tandrevold, who also completed her stage perfectly in terms of shooting.
Lisa Vittozzi lost 4 seconds to Lou Jeanmonnot, but due to her opponents' massive mistakes, she lifted Italy from 14th place to 3rd. Within 10 seconds, Voigt, Minkinnen and Irwin completed their stage.
At the 3rd leg, Johannes Boe immediately got down to business, and already in the first lap he gained 10 seconds from the Frenchman, and by standing he took the lead, and even made a small gap of 3 seconds. Both made mistakes twice, but both covered their targets with two additional rounds. Lou Jeanmonnot vs. Ingrid Tanrevold in the final stage!
Tomasso Giacomel finished his race 22 seconds behind, and Justus Strelow and Campbell Wright passed the relay 40 seconds behind the leader.
Seventh shooting, Tandrevold and Jeanmonnot made no mistakes, but the Frenchwoman spent an extra 5 seconds reloading.
At the final shooting, Lou Jeanmonnot made do with one extra cartridge, but Ingrid Tandrevold did what commentators usually call "what a shame" - 4 misses and one penalty loop. But there was still a struggle on the last lap, Lisa Vittozzi overtook the Norwegian.
On one of the climbs, Norwegian television gave a microphone to one of the coaches, and he shouted something to Tandrevold on livestream. But even this did not help, Italy is second, Norway is third.
Didra Irwin could have finished 4th for Team USA, especially since she had a 10-second advantage over her closest competitors, but no. At the finish line, Hanna Oberg and Lena Haecki were already fighting for 4th place, and Germany was 6th - Vanessa Vogt still beat the American.
